Tone Cuff

So I’m tossing together an outfit, but I need some help with the color of some things?
It’s a bit of a silly question, really.
I’m putting an outfit together for something (won’t go into details… -Nervous grin.-) and I need a touch of assistance.
Well, all I have so far is;
Black strapless shirt, black boots, and black and white striped socks with a red heart at the top.
I need to figure out a pair of shorts to wear, for one thing. (Otherwise no one would be able to see the socks, hah.)
Plus I need three colors for the hearts on the ear cuff I’m making.
Basically, my questions are as follows;
What color shorts should I wear(buy probably), and what three colors should I put on the ear cuff? (Including various tones, like red, dark red, scarlet, etc.)
(…Simultaneously, what color is the prominently eye-catching?)
Sort of strange questions, I know, hah, but answers would be rather useful…~
(And if you have any other tips, I’d welcome them…; )
