What is fg / bg means shell scripting . I created one script which will give one beep after one hour.?
But when i sent it as bg then it not giving beep.
It it neccessary to keep running that process on the prompt.
Please help me .
How i achive this.
I am newbie .
I know this simple question .
Normally beep is achived by writing the a “beep” character into the screen. Now if you run the script in the background the beep character is never written to you monitor and you will never hear it. Let me see if I can get you and alternative way. I will update this when something comes into my mind.
