How can my mother alert me in case she needs assistance?
Both my parents are quite sick. My father is in and out of the hospital. My mother remains at home. This means there are times when my mother is home alone. My sisters and I provide care whenever we can, but there are times we just can’t be there. So, I am looking for a pendant (necklace) my mother can wear around her neck – on which there is a button which, when pressed, will alert me that there is a problem. I’m talking about the “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up…” service. But I’d prefer the call come to my cell phone instead of a monitoring service. Any thoughts?
The only thing I can suggest is to have neibors you can trust check up on her once in a while.
