Any pro’s or great amateur’s come from your town or city?
I come from Oxnard and Glendale CA. My gym in Glendale had really good boxers. Vanes Martirosyan 04 usa team(Now pro), Hector Lopez 84 Mex team won Silver (Pro), Pepe Reilly 92 usa team(Pro), These fighters also turned pro. Ernie Zavala, Karhen Harutyunyan, William Abelyan, Willam Adamyan, Roger Medal and Gorge Moreno Pretty good for a small gym in Glendale huh?…

Pernell “Sweat Pea” Whitaker. I grew up in Virginia Beach and he’s from the Hampton Roads area also. Saw him fight a few times at the Norfolk Scope as a kid.
@RicLopezJr I’ve got a few pics of him fighting at the Scope…I met Pete when I was about 9 or 10 also, really nice guy. Signed some photos for me and my dad.
