Christmas Gift Shopping for Men

Christmas shopping for men? What do you buy for the man who has everything? What do you buy for the man you barely know? What do you buy for your annoying brother-in-law? Or more simply, what do you buy for men?

Even today there is a scarcity of shopping opportunities for men, unless they are in to DIY, gardening or cars.  For the man who likes fashion, bling or designer accessories, the options on the high street are limited. Not so on the internet. There is an amazing selection of shopping choices from books, to DVD’s to memorabilia, to fashion, all at your fingertips. They are often delivered free and can generally be gift wrapped ready to go.

Here are my top 5 suggestions for Christmas gifts for the men in your life (or maybe just for yourself!):

• A leather messenger bag with a removable pouch for a laptop or iPad. These are on the market now in classic or casual styles and are great for work or everyday use.
• A mens pamper pack. And why not? Women long since discovered the joy of a little pampering, so move over girls its the guys’ turn. Mens skin care products have come a long way, and the better ones are made for specifically for men rather than simply changing the perfume in women’s products and re-badging them. The new age man recognises the need for a simple but effective skin care regime.
• A cookery or wine appreciation book. Teamed up with a classic striped apron, a great cook book for that friend who loves to get into the kitchen is a great option. Or a book on amazing wines, teamed with a corkscrew or a bottle of red to get them started.
• A sleek and stylish Italian silk tie. Despite the trend for open necked shirts, mens ties are still as popular as ever and in my mind a man wearing a suit with an open necked shirt may just as well be wearing a track suit. It just doesn’t cut it.
• A stainless steel bracelet.  Mens jewellery is a tricky one and can often be horribly wrong.  Need I mention the medallion man? But I am glad to say that there is some fabulous mens jewellery on the market now, that is both classy and contemporary. Mens bracelets in stainless steel are a discreet and fashionable way for men to wear a little bling.

So if you are stuck for gifts for the men on your Christmas gift list, jump on the internet and do a little surfing. No crowds, no queues. And an endless choice of gift ideas for men.
