Why does the look of Lotus Seeds sick people out?

I can’t explain why I do but they just look so aghh..
yes, i find it kinda creepy too..
it looks somewhat alien like and not beautiful.
and the color clash makes it more scary looking. the purple seeds stand out from the green which makes it look like it is going to pop out at you or something. the shape is scary too and kind of reminds me of a beehive…a green and purple beehive.
