Choosing a Great Tattoo
A Few of the More Popular Tattoo Designs
Tattoos are done in all sorts of designs. People also get them for a variety of reasons and although the range of design is various, there are those that stand out. These designs usually end up in a tattoo artist’s most requested stack. Below, in no precise order are some of today’s most requested styles. As a side note, my favorite tattoo book is Chooper Tattoo.
Tribal – During the past few years, tribal tattoo types have risen in the ranks and has grow to be, and for many tattoo artists, the most requested tattoo design style ever. Tribal designs acquire their inspiration from the tattoo types used by aboriginal tribes from all over the world. Tattoo artist would also inform you that Maori-inspired tribal tattoo styles are some of their most requested. I have found a few great Maori designs in Tattoo Fever Ultimate Tattoo Design recently too.
Kanji – Chinese character tattoo patterns are also very popular. This is usually the design of option of people who are getting their first tattoos. The name of a loved one or of the one getting the tattoo is frequently translated into Kanji. Singular symbols (i.e. life, fire, air) are also well-liked.
Stars – For a quantity of reasons, stars have gained the honor of being the most trendy tattoo design ever. It may be due to symbol’s simplicity. Nautical stars seem to be the most wanted. Star clusters have also become exceptionally popular.
Roses and Hearts – Roses are the most requested of all flower concepts.. Hearts also share the same magnitude of popularity as the rose. Sometimes the two are even used together in the same design.
Barbwire – This is one of the most highly requested design for band tattoos. It is common to find barbwire tattoos around the wrists, ankles, or legs. They can also be used to border or accent other tattoo styles.
Butterfly – This is especially popular with the ladies and is frequently regarded as a feminine sign. It is usually placed on the lower back, the tush, the nape or the neck or somewhere else that’s unseen. Flowers and fairies are popular among girls too, although, these two are a favorite of men as well.
Celtic Knots, Celtic Crosses, and Crosses in General – Celtic knots are acknowledged for their intricateness. Crosses, regardless the design, are trendy for their religious symbols.
Designs that will be receiving honorable mentions include the ever trendy name tattoos – be they intentional or the product of a drunken night on the town. Other common tattoo types incorporate fire, pistols, fish, dolphins, dragons, suns, pin-up girls, crowns, eagles, and wings. Cultural symbols are popular as well.
Although I am a big tattoo fan I always advise against people running into tattoo parlor and demanding tattoo me now, as this can lead to problems later when you regret the design and it is too late. So make sure you get it right!
