Possible Heart Murmur Male 14?

Hello, Lately ive had some problems with circulation and my heart. Firstly when i dangle my arm i feel pressure then my hand goes a dark red, In the cold my hands knees and feet get cove rd in patches of orange and my external limbs are constantly cold. Secondly im getting a hell of allot of headaches. Thirdly i have lately have ad a few heart flutters, some times one after the other. Im not over weight, I do get some exercise.

I went to the doctors and she said i have a slight heart murmur and i have to go to the hospital to have some tests =S Im really worried and It’s driving me crazy, What will they do??

Many people have heart murmurs, they don’t usually represent pathology.

Most of the time it’s simply a noise which can be produced by turbulent blood flow within the heart and great vessels. Most are caused by normal variations in the structure of the heart and as I said, most cause no problems. It always needs investigating because occasionally it can represent pathology and be caused by problems with the heart valves or holes between the pumping chambers. The tests you have will exclude this possibility.

You probably have an innocent murmur which basically means that even though there may be an abnormality within the heart causing the murmur, unless it’s effecting the hearts performance, it is normal and no action needs to be taken. Most innocent murmurs occur because blood is being pumped faster than normal or usual. Some murmurs are only audible under certain conditions, for example if you have a high fever, or a fast heart rate. You will need to have an echo which is basically an ultrasound of the heart.

Your GP will also investigate your other symptoms.
