Why Africa Is The Cradle Of Mankind

Africa started attracting explorers long before the major wars of the world were fought. It’s believed the first man the ever lived was discovered here. No wonder everybody feels his/her roots belong in Africa. Great scientists have dome absolute research to prove this. Fossils found at a famous sight in Kenya known as Olduvai Gorge were discovered by a famous archaeologist Dr. Leakey. He found tools of used by the earlier man many million of years ago.

Africa’s also harbors another site still in Kenya known as the Oregegasailie located on the slopes of Ngong Mountains. Here Dr. Leakey discovered quite a number of tools that the earlier man used for hunting and cooking. The sites are being preserved by the National Museums of Kenya. The same museum also displays how life for the early man started and how he evolved. There are hand made replicas of the early many seated down in the bush.

Africa is really the cradle or origin of man kind because there are various caves that have been discovered with drawing or paintings of animals that are believed t have been drawn by the first man on earth. Though the drawings are not perfect it shows that man started to socialize a long time ago. He even domesticated some of these animals. This shows that man had the ability to command other animals to obey him. Discovery of fire shows man had distinguished himself from other animal s and realized he needed warmth and shelter.
