Onyx is a semi-precious form of chalcedony which is most commonly brown, red, white, and black. Most of the onyx beads on the market have undergone some treatment to enhance quality. Color-stabilization is one of these treatments.
Black onyx is highly prized for use in jewelry and ornaments. It can be difficult to tell whether or not a stone has been dyed or heat treated, as dealers are not required to disclose this. But dyed colors should not fade or distort.
This set is made of 6mm, 8mm, 10mm black onyx beads and 8mm, 10mm opal beads. These beads are set on a 925 sterling silver cable chain at approximately 20″ in length. The matching pair of dangling earrings is also made of 8mm onyx bead and 10mm opal bead, and set in stamped 925 sterling silver with 18K white gold over to be tarnish-free. It is approximately 1 2/3inches long.
Our onyx beads are reconstituted with a lovely black color and high luster. Designed by our in-house designer, it is guaranteed that you won’t find this same piece anywhere else.
This earrings is made of 9-10mm and 12-13mm onyx beads in black. The pearls on the this earrings are 6-7mm semi-round pearls. The combination of the onyx beads and pearls looks like the head of Mickey Mouse. All of them are set in 925 silver French wires with 18K white gold overlay for tarnish-free.
