In olden china the cross bow had assured a significant role. This device was generally used to shoot objects. Essentially this weapon consists of a stock. It was first established in a grave in Hunan. The latest styled crossbow in china was found in a grave in Hubei. This was virtually throughout the fifth century. For the enlargement of this weapon the antique Chinese literature had helped very much.

Thus these crossbows had gained very anchor roles in the lifestyle of ancient Chinese people. But the new generation in china admires these ancient weapons even now. This is the reason as to why the archery by means of crossbows is included in all general sports activities taking place in china.
