An Interesting Read On Silver And Gold Charms
Finding out information about the history and development of different types of silver and gold charms is a great idea for the serious collector as well as those just interested in beautiful jewelry. There are several reference books that have been written specifically on the subject of silver and gold charms plus all other types of charms as well.
Different authors and books will approach the subject of gold charms or different types of charms and charm bracelets from a different perspective. Some will cover the history of the charms while others may focus on styles of charms or even how to go about collecting charms for bracelets.
Tracey Zabar, a jewelry designer with a love of all types of silver and gold charms as well as charm bracelets has a great reference book for anyone interested in collecting. This book, titled “Charmed Bracelets” has lovely full color photographs of some of the most beautiful and memorable charm bracelets. Her book also explores various types of charms throughout history.
Amy Elliot’s book “A Passion For Charms” is dedicated to all the historical and heirloom types of charms. In some of her photographs and descriptions the charm bracelets have been handed down for generations, really providing a true collector’s treasure. There is information on charms from specific eras as well as tips for collecting charms.
For serious collectors or those just getting started with a charm collection “Charms and Charm Bracelets: The Complete Guide” is a very comprehensive book. There are 300 different photographs in the book showing a wide range of gold charms and gold charm bracelets as well as other metals and styles. There are charms from all over the world found within the book, making this a valuable reference.
“The Charm of Charms” is a great option for those charm bracelet lovers that want to get an idea of the different styles of very famous collections. The authors Jade and Hackney have pictures of some of the most well known jewelry collections as well as information about the famous owners.
For those with a really creative side the book “Charmed: 50 Bracelets, Necklaces and Earrings to Make and Give” is a great idea. Author Gabriella Sellors gives 50 do it yourself projects that use charms as part of the design, perfect for giving as gifts or making as a special jewelry item for yourself.
Having reference books on gold charms, silver charms and enameled and gemmed charms is a great way to learn more about this miniature jewelry items. Don’t forget that those that collect silver or gold charms may also appreciated these types of books as gifts for any type of occasion.
