Does this stamp mean 90% pure gold?
My father (may he rest in peace) left me and my sisters jewelry he purchased from Thailand many years ago. My piece is a gold chain bracelet that is quite heavy and has “90%” stamped on it. (It also has a “VN” stamped on it, but I was thinking that was for manufacturer identification.) My dad had mentioned how many bahts it was a long time ago, but I totally forgot what he said. Does this mean 90% pure gold and if so, what does this equate to in karats? Thank you!
It will be in 90% purity and 22 carats.VN must be the manufacturer’s stamp as you have mentioned.
